A trade learned young, refined for a lifetime.
Shelton Painting began in a small village in Southeast France, where craftsmanship was part of everyday life. My introduction to painting started early — around 10 years old — after damaging a freshly painted wall in my bedroom while attempting a skateboard trick.
Not wanting to get in trouble, I found a couple of local craftsmen working nearby. They showed me how to patch and paint the wall myself. That simple moment — taking responsibility and learning to fix something properly — stayed with me.
As I grew older, I kept working with my hands: shutters, then boats, then full-scale residential work. Today, with over 30 years of experience, I bring the same mindset to every project — do it right, take pride in the work, and stand behind the result.
